Our services are available free of charge to residents of Sibley and the surrounding area as well as anyone requesting use of our facilities who can provide a current local mailing address on their driver’s license.  If they have no driver’s license the patron must provide two proofs of address.  Services include those provided by our affiliation in the Iowa Library Service Area System.

The Sibley Public Library provides borrowing of books, large type books, magazines, video tapes, DVDs, books on tape and books on CD.  We provide reference services, either in person or via telephone.  As needed throughout the year, the Director shall recommend for trustee approval special programs or services aimed at various age groups in the community.

The Sibley Public Library supports and operates under the principles set forth in the Library Bill of Rights and Freedom to Read Statement as asserted by the Intellectual Freedom Committee of the Iowa Library Association and the Iowa Educational Media Association.
